Hi, I'm Andrew.

For more than 20 years, I've worked with founders, executives and teams—as an agency leader, business owner and trusted partner—helping businesses launch, grow and transform.

From startups with big ambitions to established organisations facing change, I've helped create products, services, experiences and brands that people trust, choose and return to.

The work rarely fits neatly into a category, sector or discipline. I've worked with government, not-for-profits and commercial organisations to navigate complexity and guide important initiatives from idea to implementation when the path forward isn't clear.

What these experiences have in common is the belief that creative thinking creates commercial value by finding problems worth solving and putting ideas into action.

I'm an independent creative partner to business leaders.

Here's what that means:

Independent

I bring an outside perspective without an agenda. I'm not tied to or weighed down by a particular service, team or delivery model, my recommendations are shaped by what will actually create value—whether that's building something new, simplifying what exists, bringing in specialists, doing something else, or doing nothing at all.

Creative

Creativity is one of the most valuable and least understood tools in business. It's the ability to see possibilities, connect ideas and solve problems in new ways. Through creative leadership and using design thinking, I turn this capability into action by framing problems, exploring possibilities and testing ideas to improve and innovate.

Partner

I work as a trusted partner to leadership teams—ranging from arm's-length advisory to hands-on delivery, ongoing or at critical periods of change. That means shared ownership of the outcome, not just delivery of a service. Invested in the result, not just the process.

I help solve problems worth solving, guide people and process, and put ideas into action.

Problems worth solving

Not every problem deserves the same attention, investment or effort. The ones worth solving create tangible benefit—improved performance, speed, efficiency. I work with leaders to understand and identify what really matters, challenge thinking and focus energy on the problems that have the greatest potential to create value for businesses and the people they serve.

Navigate people and process

Creative leadership is the skill of navigating complexity of problems, the people they effect, and the process of delivery.

Design thinking provides the practical methods for framing challenges, exploring possibilities and making informed decisions with greater confidence.

Ideas into action

Ideas have little value on their own. Value is created when ideas are tested, shaped and brought to life. Whether improving an existing business, launching something new or navigating change, I help leaders turn thinking into doing and move important initiatives from discovery to delivery, possibility to reality.

Work in progress

Here's what I've been working on:

'Back-to-brand' strategy, rationalisation of product range, and redesign of packaging and in-store consumables for an iconic Australian premium specialty tea retailer.

Brand positioning, identity transformation, and in-store customer experience design for Australia's largest not-for-profit op-shop retailer.

AI-powered brand governance platform to help businesses protect brand integrity at scale, while reducing the costly overhead of proof-and-approval cycles.

Over that time I’ve developed a strong point of view about creativity, strategy, design and leadership — and how businesses create value through them.

Creativity is a business advantage

Creativity is often misunderstood in business.

Too often it’s reduced to aesthetics, campaigns or surface-level expression when its real value is much deeper.

Creativity is how businesses adapt, evolve, solve problems and uncover new opportunities. It creates differentiation, improves experiences and helps organisations stay relevant in increasingly competitive markets.

Without creativity, businesses stagnate.

Strategy is realised through action

Most businesses already have more potential than they realise.

The challenge is rarely a lack of ambition or ideas. More often, it’s the difficulty of aligning people, priorities, creativity and execution well enough to move things forward.

Strategy matters. But strategy on its own is still just a theory — a direction, a belief, a bet on the future.

Value is realised through implementation.

That means making decisions, testing ideas, refining direction, maintaining momentum and translating intent into something tangible.

I work across that space between thinking and doing.

Not just shaping ideas, but helping make them real.

Design turns ideas into action

Design is how ideas become real.

Not simply how things look, but how strategy is translated into products, services, experiences, systems and communications that people can actually engage with.

It’s a process of building, testing, refining and improving.

At its best, design creates alignment between function, form and feeling — how something works, how it appears and how it is experienced.

When those things are aligned, businesses move more clearly, teams work more effectively, customer experiences improve and brands become more coherent and trusted.

That’s where design creates value.
